AbstractA new fluorescent chemosensor based on an acyclic tetra-sulfonamide derivative linked to two dansyl groups has been conveniently synthesized. Its high selective binding ability to fluoride ions over other halide ions was demonstrated by using fluorescence as well as H-1 NMR spectra. (C) 2004 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
