AbstractGenetic Algorithm (GA) is a global searching method applying evolution of biology and optimization technology. According to the model of exponentially-modified Gaussian and the method of simulated annealing, we can introduce the genetic algorithm with variable lengths of chromosome, together with the climb hills method, so that overlapping chromatographic peaks with unknown number of peaks can be exactly analyzed. The method has been proved to be effective by analysis of amino acids among the microdialysis samples.
