AbstractA novel method is reported to synthesize polyacrylonitrile (PAN) nanofibers using the anodic aluminum oxide membrane as template. Compared with other template syntheses, this method is very simple, i.e., only extrusion of the PAN precursor solution into the solidifying solution is necessary.
