AbstractFourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry (FT-ICR-MS) was used for the analysis of two kinds of complicated surfactant sample. It has been shown from the experimental results that the structural information of two kinds of compound can be simply,rapidly and accurately obtained by the high resolution FT-ICR-MS. Using the high accuracy mass data, measured the elemental compositions of all components in the complicated sample were calculated and all compounds were identified, which showed the powerful capacity of FT-ICR-MS in structural analysis of molecules and identification of unknown samples.
