AbstractThe nanofrictional properties of Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films of three dendrons (G2-COOH, G3-COOH, and G4-COOH) are characterized using atomic force microscopy/friction force microscopy (AFM/FFM). The result shows that the frictional responses of LB films of three dendrons decrease with increasing generation. The origin of the frictional differences measured from these LB films is also discussed.
