AbstractThe gas-solid heterogeneous reaction between X-2 (X = Cl, Br) and AgOCN has been investigated under the condition of super vacuum, HeI photoelectron spectroscopy (PES) indicates that XNCO was produced, and we deduce that an inter mediate complex in this process was formed, i.e. the generation of new-bond and the broken of old-bond were going simultaneously.
