AbstractA novel sonochemical method was found to prepare amorphous CdSe cluster and hexagonal nanocrystalline CdSe in aqueous solution. An interfacial mechanism for the sonochemical formation of CdSe nanoparticles was confirmed. The exploration for luminescence properties of the as-prepared CdSe nanoparticles revealed its wide application in many fields.
