AbstractA new fluorescent compound based on calix[4] arene skeleton was synthesized. Its complexation ability with transition metal ions, such as Fe3+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+ and Ag+, was investigated by UV-vis and fluorescent spectra.
