AbstractA microwave-assisted condensation of salicylaldehyde and aryl amines without solvent were efficiently performed to form a series of salicylaldimines in high yields, which were confirmed by IR, H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR and elemental analyses. The microwave-assisted condensation provided a convenient environmental-friendship methodology for syntheses of Schiff-base in organic syntheses.
