AbstractPoly(phenylenevinylene) (PPV) derivatives covalently linked to fullerene C-60 (PPV-1-C-60 and PPV-2-C-60) were synthesized by cycloaddition reaction between C-60 and azide group-containing PPV derivatives. the initial feed ratio of the azido monomer, the content of C-60 in the copolymers was controlled. The copolymers were partially soluble in common organic solvents and, were characterized by means of H-1 NMR, FT-IR, UV-Vis and fluorescence spectroscopy, as well as by GPC, TGA and cyclic voltammetry techniques.
