AbstractWe synthesized polysiloxanes containing phenylethynyl groups (PE-PDMS) in side chains via cohydrolysis condensation of dimethyldichlorosilane and phenylethynyl methyldichlorosilane and then catalysis equilibrium copolymerization by sulphuric acid. PE-PDMS was characterized by infrared spectra, H-1 nuclear magnetic resonance and its dynamic mechanical properties were also investigated. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
