AbstractOptically active polyesters based on L-(+)-diethyl tartrate and terephthaloyl chloride (TPC), isophthaloyl chloride (IPC), o-phthaloyl chloride (OPC) are synthesized and characterized by using model compound, computer simulation for the geometric minimization UV spectra and circular dichroism. The optical activity,of obtained polyesters has close relationship with the diacid chlorides used, i.e.: TPC>IPC>OPC. The morphology of the polyesters have been discussed by DSC and X-ray methods.
