Electrical and ferromagnetic behavior of polyaniline composites

Abstracthn improved method was used to synthesize polyaniline (PANI) composites having both conducting (10(-1) similar to 10(-1) S/cm) and ferromagnetic properties (M-s approximate to 1.9-10.0 emu/g, and H-C approximate to 0). Compared with previous method proposed by authors, the improved method is much simpler without dedpoing and redoping procedures. also FeCl2. 4H(2)O and FeCl3. 6H(2)O are used as oxidants instead of ammonium persulsate (APS). It has been proved that nanocrystalline magnetic particles (Fe3O4) in the composites are responsible for the observed ferromagnetic properties of the composites, while, PANI doped with HCl contributes to the electrical properties of the composites.
