AbstractPure Gd1-xNaxCu2O4 and Nd1-yNayCu2O4 crystals were synthesized by using the anodic electrocrystallization technique from molten KOH/NaOH/KNO3 at 280-300 degrees C. The resulting crystals were chemically and physically characterized by using SEM, EDX, XRD, XPS and magnetic susceptibility measurements. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
