Spectral investigation of a [60]fulleropyrrolidine

AbstractFT-IR transmission spectra of single crystals of a functionalized fullerene, [60]fulleropyrrolidine, for various light polarizations and temperatures as well as its electronic absorption spectra taken as KBr pellets are presented and discussed. It is shown that, although the [60]fulleropyrrolidine is a novel compound with its own molecular symmetry and electronic structure, its spectra exhibit some similarities with the vibrational and electronic spectra of the pristine fullerene.
