AbstractThe reaction of chromone-derived Morita-Baylis-Hillman acetates with amines was developed via tandem allylic amination/chromone ring-opening/oxa-Michael addition to provide 2-substituted-3-aminomethy-lene-chromans in convenient and efficient way, and subsequent applied in the synthesis of benzopyranylpyrimidine compounds. Various amines exhibited different reactivities depending on their molecular structural characteristics. (C) 2010 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
