AbstractBaSO(4) particles with uniform size distribution were obtained using polymer with double hydrophilic ionic moieties as crystal growth modifier. Based on the difference of the dissociation constant pKa between both functional groups, structural evolution of barium sulfate from spherical aggregates to round tablets was conveniently achieved by merely adjusting the pH values of solution.
