AbstractAs an alternative choice to CdSe nanocrystals synthesized in organic phase, CdTe nanocrystals synthesized in aqueous solution, have attracted increasing research interests in recent years. This feature article summarizes the aqueous solution-based syntheses, some optoelectronic applications, and bioapplications of CdTe nanocrystals, with emphasis on the recent progresses in related fields.
