AbstractThe hair layer consisting of hollow fibers provides the poplar leaf with an energy efficient "cool roof" to protect it from being burned by strong light. Inspired by the hair structure, we use coaxial electro-spinning technology to achieve a highly reflective and super-hydrophobic white coating towards making an eco-friendly and effective "cool roof".
