AbstractCrystalline morphologies of spin-coated poly(D-lactic acid) (PDLA) thin films under different conditions were investigated by atomic force microscopy (AFM) technique. The morphology evolution of the PDLA crystalline was tuned by changing concentration of the polymer solution, the crystallization time, solvent types and substrates. Different crystalline morphologies, such as short rod, fiber bundle and spherical structure were obtained. Meanwhile, the possible mechanism for crystalline morphology evolution was proposed.
