AbstractDue to spectator secondary electrostatic interactions, nonsymmetric mono-Boc-mono-acetyl terminated hydrazide-based oligomers displayed a head-to-tail dimerization mode, which was evidenced by H-1 NMR, and 2D NOESY experiments. Dynamic behavior of the molecular duplex strands was also explored by variable temperature H-1 NMR experiments.
